Outdoor Play
Outdoor play is beneficial for all children. It allows them to learn from nature and interact with their environment. Children often learn to run, jump, throw & catch and kick in this environment. It can also include mastering ball games, playground equipment, going on a scooter, riding a bike and surfing.
Some outdoor play develops into sporting, fitness and exercise activities used for leisure and pleasure for young people and adults e.g. football, rugby, tennis, hockey, swimming, dance and martial arts etc.
Within this toolkit we will look at activities that are largely completed outdoors.
